Several Frigidaire faults trace back to setup rather than a failed part, and Frigidaire’s owner support articles say so. A Frigidaire dishwasher flashing i20 may simply be draining into a disposer that still has its knockout plug in place. An electric range reading F30 is first reset by cutting power for up to 30 seconds. A refrigerator that stopped dispensing ice may have an auger frozen in place, which Frigidaire walks owners through thawing.
Frigidaire is part of the Electrolux family of brands and also sells the Frigidaire Gallery line. Plug Fix Repair handles both in Katy, Richmond, Fulshear, Sugar Land and Rosenberg. If Frigidaire’s checklist has not cleared the fault, call (832) 598-8646 with the code.

The paddle delivers nothing or only a few cubes, or the bin holds a frozen clump.
Frigidaire’s no-ice guide lists several causes that need no parts at all: a unit plugged in less than 24 hours ago that has not stabilized, a recent power outage, a locked display (hold the lock key for 3 seconds), water lines hooked up incorrectly, and a water filter that is loose, frozen or cracked. It also names ice frozen around the auger from infrequent use, cubes jammed between ice maker and bin, and a misaligned auger. For a stuck auger, Frigidaire’s fix is to switch the panel to CRUSHED, remove the bucket and press the paddle in 2-minute intervals for three rounds to melt ice around the motor shaft.
We rule out the supply line, filter seating and display lock first. If ice keeps refreezing around the shaft after Frigidaire’s thaw routine, we move on to the ice maker and the auger motor.
Water left in the tub with i20, or i30 while the drain pump keeps running.
Frigidaire defines i20 as the dishwasher not draining properly. Its checklist: the knockout plug in the disposer has been removed, the drain hose is not blocked, pinched or restricted, the hose sits at a minimum of 32 inches from the floor, and the glass trap and filter are clear of food soil. Frigidaire’s code guide separates this from i40, a clogged filter or sump. An iFixit guide written on a Frigidaire Gallery dishwasher explains i30: water collects in the drain pan under the unit and lifts a styrofoam float, and the dishwasher may keep the pump running to stop water reaching the kitchen floor.
For i20 we check disposer plug, hose height and glass trap before testing the pump. For i30, drying the pan is only step one – the job is finding how water got there.
The display shows F10 or F30, and the code returns after a power reset.
Frigidaire labels F10 on electric ranges as Thermal Runaway – the oven is detecting higher-than-normal temperatures and treating it as a safety alert. On ranges with Stone-Baked Pizza Mode, Frigidaire’s oven code guide lists a different trigger for F10: the Pizza Shield sitting in the wrong rack position. F30 is an Open Probe fault on electric ranges and electric cooktops. For both codes Frigidaire’s first step is a reset by unplugging the unit or switching the breaker off for up to 30 seconds, and if the code returns, scheduling service.
We check shield placement on pizza-mode models, then trace the open probe circuit that F30 names.
A top-loader finishes with water sitting in the basket, or a front-loader shows F2 and the drum is full of suds.
For top-load models, Frigidaire’s not-draining article points first at the installation: a kinked drain hose, clogs in the hose or drain pipe, a standpipe taller than 96 inches or narrower than 1 1/4 inches, a hose pushed in so tightly that the standpipe gets no air. It also warns that too much detergent can stop the unit draining properly. On front-loaders, Frigidaire defines F2 as too much soap or the wrong type, and tells owners to use high efficiency detergent and run an empty Quick Wash. When the plumbing checks out, iFixit’s Frigidaire top-load drain guide moves on to blockages in the tub hose and pump, a damaged pump impeller or a failed drain pump.
We measure the standpipe, ask what detergent is in use, then work inward to the tub hose, impeller and pump.
Appointments are usually available same-day or next-day, depending on technician availability and your location. For same-day service we normally provide a 2–3 hour arrival window and call you about 20–30 minutes before the technician arrives.
Frigidaire says the refrigerator water filter should be changed every six months, and that most models light a Water Filter Status indicator when it is due. A cracked, frozen or loose filter is also on Frigidaire's no-ice list. On dishwashers, the glass trap and filter in the tub bottom figure in both the i20 and i40 checklists, so cleaning them comes before any pump part. Gallery ranges with Stone-Baked Pizza Mode ship with a pizza shield and a 15 by 15 inch pizza stone, and placing that shield on the wrong rack is a documented F10 trigger. When a component is needed, we match it to your model number and explain the repair before work starts.

Not necessarily. Frigidaire's first check for i20 is whether the knockout plug in the garbage disposer was removed when the dishwasher was connected. After that, look for a pinched drain hose, confirm the hose rises at least 32 inches from the floor, and clean the glass trap. Frigidaire also says to contact your installer on units installed within 30 days.

Frigidaire calls it Thermal Runaway - the oven has detected a higher-than-normal temperature. On ranges with Stone-Baked Pizza Mode, check that the Pizza Shield is on the correct rack. Otherwise, cut power for up to 30 seconds; if F10 returns, the oven needs service. See our oven repair page.
Frigidaire's guidance is every six months, and most models show a Water Filter Status alert when the time comes. Frigidaire also recommends a fresh filter before a refrigerator goes back into use after sitting idle, such as during a move.
Yes. Gallery is a Frigidaire product line, and we cover Fulshear (77441) and Sugar Land (77479) along with Katy, Richmond and Rosenberg. Same-day visits come with a 2-3 hour arrival window.
