Richmond mail is sorted under three ZIP codes: 77406 with Pecan Grove and Harvest Green, 77407 with Aliana and Grand Mission, and 77469 with Veranda and Riverpark near the Brazos. LG appliances report many faults as a short code – AE, UE, a d-number – and those characters are the most useful detail you can pass on.
Note the code and the model number sticker, then phone (832) 598-8646.

LG equipment we repair across Richmond:
The fresh food section creeps up and the freezer follows, yet the panel answers, the light works and fans run. The rear freezer wall is short of frost.
The quick conclusion is a failed Inverter Linear Compressor – a part named in class action claims of premature failure. Yet iFixit’s troubleshooting guide puts smaller faults ahead of that verdict: electrical connections that have worked loose or oxidized, a thermal overload that has tripped or failed, a run capacitor that keeps the compressor from starting or leaves it running poorly, and an inverter board that cannot reach 200 volts output inside two minutes.
We go down that list with a meter – connectors, overload, capacitor, inverter output – so a compressor is condemned on evidence, not on the symptom.
The dishwasher will not start, or quits partway, showing AE or E1, often with a dry floor.
According to LG, the code means water from a leak inside the machine has lifted the float switch, and the dishwasher cannot be used again until the underlying cause is corrected. LG traces most of these leaks to overflow and gives two triggers: a cabinet that is not sitting level, or detergent trouble – a dispenser filled beyond its marked lines, or ordinary dishwashing liquid used where dishwasher detergent belongs, producing suds that push water over the edge.
We run LG’s level test – lower rack removed, a gallon or so of water in the tub, watching which way it drifts – ask about detergent, and follow the water back to where it escaped.
The washer hesitates or rocks, never reaches full spin speed, and UE or Ub appears on the display.
LG classifies UE and Ub as an out-of-balance condition. Its listed reasons are laundry sitting out of balance, an unsuitable amount of laundry put into the tub, and a machine that is not level. LG adds that its washers perform best when loaded to about two thirds of capacity.
Spread the load, bring it toward two thirds and retry. If UE keeps returning, we check level on all four corners and then look inside.
A dryer that used to finish in one cycle now needs two, and d75, d80, d90 or d95 lights up.
Each number is a percentage: LG states those four codes indicate an exhaust duct clogged 75, 80, 90 and 95 percent. LG warns that ductwork which is too long or carries too many bends invites blockage, and that some restrictions cannot be easily seen. With a clear vent, iFixit blames parts that mimic a clog: a hi-limit thermostat that opens too cool and tricks the sensor, a bad cycling thermostat, outlet thermistor or control board.
LG warns that a heavily restricted exhaust can be unsafe, so leave the dryer off until the vent is cleaned and repaired. We measure airflow at the exterior hood with the drum turning and work inward.

LG's method: remove the lower rack, tip roughly a gallon of water into the tub floor, and see whether it collects on one side. An unlevel cabinet is one of the overflow causes LG links to AE and E1. If it sits evenly and the code persists, see dishwasher repair.
It is worth trying first - LG lists load balance, load size and level as causes. If UE returns on a balanced two-thirds load, call a technician.
Same-day bookings normally come with a 2-3 hour arrival window, and the technician calls about 20-30 minutes ahead. Appointments run Monday to Saturday, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
