Many Samsung faults are reported as a short code on the panel. Those two characters say more than any description of a noise or a puddle: on a Samsung dishwasher they separate a leak sensor from a jammed reflector, and on a front-load washer they point at the drain path rather than the electronics. Below are four, explained from Samsung’s own support pages, for Richmond addresses in 77406, 77407 or 77469.
Note the code and the model number – Samsung assigns parts so tightly by model that identical-looking assemblies from different years may not interchange. Plug Fix Repair takes Richmond bookings on (832) 598-8646.

LC appears (LE on some panels), the machine turns itself on and will not switch off, yet nothing is wet underfoot.
Samsung’s dishwasher code chart describes LC/LE as a leakage error: the leak sensor has detected moisture, and the dishwasher then turns itself on and will not turn off. The sensor reacts to moisture rather than a flood, which is why the floor can stay dry. On WaterWall models Samsung also tells owners to check for a blocked water reflector.
We dry the base pan and sensor, then trace the moisture upward: door gasket, tub seal, drain hose joint. Only if the base stays dry and LC returns does the sensor get tested.
The wash stops partway and the display reads 7E – or, on another run, 1E. Both look like the same WaterWall problem; they are not.
In Samsung’s list, 7E is a WaterWall reflector error: the reflector is not able to move correctly. 1E on a WaterWall machine means something else – water is not making it through a clogged filter, with Samsung telling owners to clean the fine filter at the bottom of the tub. On rotary-arm models the same 1E is a high-temperature heater error, so know the model line first.
For 1E we lift out and clean the fine filter, which is Samsung’s own starting point. For 7E we check whether anything in the tub is stopping the reflector, then the mechanism that moves it.
Water sits behind the glass, 5C (5E on older panels) is showing, and for a few minutes nothing on the control panel responds.
Samsung gives three routes to 5C: a blocked drain filter, a kinked drain hose, or a hose installed incorrectly. The frozen keypad is deliberate – the buttons stay disabled for three minutes once the code posts.
We empty the drum through the emergency hose behind the lower access door, turn the filter out counter-clockwise and clear it, then check how the drain hose is routed and fitted.
The bucket in the fresh-food door is wrapped in frost, cubes have welded together, and it will not pull out.
Samsung’s explanation is warm air from the refrigerator side leaking into the ice compartment and freezing there. Two leak paths it names come down to fit: a gap between bucket and chute when things are misaligned, and a bucket seal that is dirty or damaged. Samsung suggests checking the gap with only the right-hand door open.
We level the cabinet and adjust door height, inspect and clean the rubber seal, and confirm the bucket closes completely when it goes back in. Light frost comes off with a damp cloth; a heavy build-up gets a defrost cycle.

Resetting the display does nothing about the moisture. Samsung describes LC as the leak sensor detecting dampness, so if it comes back, something inside is still getting wet.

Because on WaterWall machines Samsung uses 1E for a clogged filter, not a heater fault. Clean the fine filter at the bottom of the tub first; the heater meaning applies to rotary-arm models.
